Humanity is a blight upon this earth!

yes humanity is that bad. Of course I go through different periods when my belief in their being not so bad, maybe even pretty alright, has the upper hand, but then it all ALWAYS comes crashing down around me when, as happens every time, someone always proves to me it's total depravity once again. But the context of that posting I made must be taken into account of course. You must understand that I am working in a prison, maximum security, and so dealing with the scum of the earth daily. It really wears you down after a while, when you give and give and give to them, hoping to make some kind of difference and treating them with kindness and care even though many of them have done almost unspeakable things. They just don't get it! They are so used to a way of thinking and being that is so totally...depraved is the only word that I can think of. Anyway, i wrote that entry after a long hard day at work in a fit of frustration and anger when I was utterly disgusted by mankind. understandable?
